Custom Log on page for Portal 7.4

Hi Experts,

We are moving from Portal 7.0 to Portal 7.4. In 7.0 There is HTML form in log on page, But in 7.4 there is SAP form tag.

I have to implement save cookie for succesfull submit ,

For that i have a check box as "remember me".

how to get userid when user successfully log in ?

save username and password by browser function is not also working for log on page.

Please help
