Add Common iView to Portal Desktop to show effect all users

Hi Experts,

  I want to add a common iView to my existing portal application desktop. Please walk through me how i do i know the existing desktop

  and how to add the iView to the same. I am trying to add iView like log-off which will effect to every user coming to portal.
