NetWeaver Portal 7.31, IE 10 Detailed Navigation Entries Cut, Hover-Effect Displaced

I have a rendering problem concerning the DTN of a default SAP NetWeaver 7.31 Portal. This problem occurs in Internet Explorer 10 and is similar in Chrome 40. As depicted in the screenshot below, entries in the DTN are cut and the hover effect is displaced.

Is this a common problem and does a fix for this problem exist?
