Cannot access iview on External Facing Portal

Hello Experts,

We have a external facing portal <portal1>which is accessed using (https://<extranetportal1>/irj/portal/). There is a Webdynpro Java Iview on this system which points to a WDJ application on <portal2> .

However when we acces the iview on the external facing portal <portal1> we get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error. Http watch trace shows 'ERROR_INTERNET_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED' error.

Any tips on resolving this issue ?
