Content Area events capturing in portal 7.4 ideal timer?

Hi experts,

We are developing an ideal timer in sap portal 7.4.

but we are not able to capture content  area events in AFP using java-script.

Every time it  triggers a logout from the portal while user is active in content area.

There is any way to capture content area events ?

We are using SAP Portal 7.4 sp09.
