HTTPS Access to Content Management System

We are trying to configure the Authoring Environment Tool on our PCs and have them access the Master Repository using HTTPS access. We have successfully configured the Authoring Environment Tool to access the Master Repository using HTTP access and now must secure this further by changing it to HTTPS access.

We are getting the error:

No access: JSSE not installed iaik.protocol.https.HttpsURLConnection

-> Please verify the settings: WebDavSlide-Repository: [ServerURL=https://server:port/irj/go/km/docs/documents/LSOSF8]

com.sap.hcm.ls.shared.repository.access.NoAccessException: No access: JSSE not installed iaik.protocol.https.HttpsURLConnection

-> Please verify the settings: WebDavSlide-Repository: [ServerURL=https://server:port/irj/go/km/docs/documents/LSOSF8]

The manual instructs:

1.     Install JRE 1.4.2 or JRE 1.5.0

2.     Install JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy files from SUN

You can download the file at java.son.comu2026

3.     Download the SAP Cryptolibraries for 630/640 J2EE.

4.     Open the SDA file (.zip file)

5.     Copy the .jar files it contains to jre/lib/ext directory of the installed JRE

6.     Start the authoring environment and check that HTTP support has been installed correctly.

The Authoring Environment tool runs on the user PC so we have been doing these tasks on the user PC, not on the server housing the Master Repository or on the server housing the ABAP system.

We do have SSL enabled and can access the Master Repository via Internet Explorer and have it correctly accessed via our certificates and through HTTPS.

We have set the table entries in the ABAP back-end system to use HTTPS access for the Authoring Environment and the Content Repository.

I have downloaded the JRE 1.5.0 with its Policy file from SUN. Installed the JRE and unpacked the Policy files into the c:\Program Files\java\jre1.5.0_22\lib\security folder.

The Cryptolibrary files are confusing and I was not certain which one to use. I downloaded files 90000121.SAR and 90000122.SAR. I alternately tried the .jar files from each placing them into c:\Program Files\java\jre1.5.0_22\lib\ext. I have reset the environment variable JAVA_HOME to c:\Program Files\java\jre1.5.0_22.

Any ideas about what I might be missing or doing wrong?

Deb Nugent.
