WPC Approval workflow customisation

Hi,


 

I was having an issue with customizing the publish-approval workflow in Web Page Composer in SAP Portal 7.4.

 

WPC out-of-the-box only provides 2 step workflow:

1. Person A edits and publishes it.

2. Person B approves it and the page is available to end users to review.


Requirement:

The requirement is to have a 3-step workflow:

 

1. Person A edits page and click Publish.

2. This notifies Person B to review the page and click Send for Approval.

3. Person C receives the Approval request, and click Approve. The page is then available for end user.

 

This link from SAP tells us we can do some customisation on how the content can be handled in WPC

But what I am not sure is where do I do this customisation? As in do I download a standard SCA component and modify it (not sure if this is possible) or do I develop a fresh application (if so, how do I hook this application from the standard WPC)?
