We have recently migrated our ESS / MSS Portal application from Netweaver 2004s to Netweaver 7.3.
One of the main changes which affected our partners is the change in behavior of some of the fields in the ESS Personnel Data. Initially, these fields (e.g. Address) are for display only on the old portal version. Upon upgrade, these fields became open for editing. We are exploring our options to revert the setting back (i.e. display only) to meet the partner's requirements. One option being considered is the redevelopment of the whole portal application, but I would just like to know if there is any other way to go about it, aside from redevelopment?
