First of all, I am not even sure if this is pertaining to DNS please bear with me and thanks for your patience.
We are in midst of doing tech refresh (just the hardware part) for SAP ERP system for a defense client so any logs is impossible, although for this problem I think its more of solutioning and less of logs
What's happening now is that unless we add each individual client computer ip that wants to access the portal thru IE , if we did not add it, then IT IS SLOW! thats the key thing you see, it's not that we are totally not able to acess or getting unable to access error, we can access but its too slow, but once the client ip is added to the portal server hosts file then its really fast, also this is only happening if it is in the same network segment, if it changes to a different network segment then it is slow BUT not as slow as the clients which were not added to the portal servers hosts file.
The new systems, which are YET to go live is VMWARE Esxi 5.5, we are not using VM Heartbeat and no DNS Reverse lookup in the whole network, also the previous (the current systems) are physical servers. So I know the problem is vague, but what could be the problem? the new servers are using 10gb Fiber NIC, and FCoE so everything is top of the line equipment this is WS2012, both the EP and Portal servers are clustered on virtual machines and using windows cluster technologies.
Any suggestions on this is helpful.
