We have federation from EP 7.3 consumer to EP 7.0 (BI) Producer. Consumer has the user store connected to Active Directory and Producer (BI) has user store connected to SAP BW (R/3). When users are accessing the BI Role on EP 7.3 (consumer), it is coming from EP 7.0 BI producer Portal as a remote role.
We are facing an intermitent issue - At times users (random) are finding that no portal roles are displayed in top level navigation row. Only they can see the Home Page in Portal content Area but no roles to click or select on the top including the BI role.
The issue is not always replicable as it is very random (the same user is getting the roles oneday and not getting the next day) and when one of the user reported the issue, we traced the logs and found the below relevant error :
