UME attribute for SSO

Hello

We are having a NW 7.3 Portal environment. We use UME for datastore (No LDAP/AD).

We log in with email address to the portal. But we want to use the value in another custom attribute (sapUsername) to be sent to the backend when we call/SSO the ABAP system. Is this possible without doing usermapping?
