We have installed EP 7.4 and the EP landscape has DEV, QUA& PRD. Now our EP developers want to transport their developments to subsequent systems (QUA & PRD) from EP DEV. I searched and found that there are 2 ways to transport the same.
1) File export/import: This is manual way to transport and I got an idea after reading all forums. I believe for this no additional configuration is required.
2) CTS+: I prefer to do the CTS+ configuration. I read some blogs and everywhere they mentioned that we have to use SOLMAN server as the domain controller for the CTS+ configuration. But in our case SOLMAN is having older version (7.0) and CHARM is configured so I don't want to use SOLMAN as the Domain controller.
Now I have the below queries:
a) Without SOLMAN can we configure CTS+?
b) Is it really required to use SOLMAN as the Domain Controller for the CTS+?
c) Like in ERP landscape, can't we use one of the EP servers as the Domain Controller and configure CTS+?
d) Is there any other way to transport JAVA objects in EP??
