Please do find the steps to hide a field in Create Substitution view -
Step 1: Create a Webdynpro Java iView of UWL Substitution application from “sap.com/tc~kmc~bc.uwl.ui~wd_ui/UWLSubstitution”.
Step 2: Preview the created WD Java iView,navigate to “Create a Substitution Rule” page by clicking on “Create Task”,and change the “Settings for Current Role” by right clicking on the page.

Step 3: Click on “Fill in For Me” and make it as invisible by check-in the “visible” checkbox,and set the New Value to “None”.
Repeat the same for”If you are unexpectedly absent........”.

Step 4: Now,to change the UWL Configuration:-
- Navigate to System Administration -->System Configuration--> Universal Worklist & Workflow-->UWL-Administration.
- Click on “Click to Manage Item Types and View Definitions”,and download the uwl.standard configuration content in XML.

Open the XML file,and search for "launchSubstitutionManager" action. Change the handler from “SAPWebDynproLauncher” to “iViewLauncher” and change the property name as “iview” and value as PCD location of Webdynpro Java iView created.

- Upload the saved XML file,and set the new configuration as of High Priority.

Step 5: Navigate to Portal content-->Content Provided by SAP-->End User Content-->Standard Portal Users-->iViews-->com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.content-->Universal Worklist,and assign it to a role. Assign the role to a test user,and check the results.
