URL iview

Hi All - I'm new to Net Weaver Portal.

I did a basic search before posting this question but i could not find anything and I apologize if it was already answered.

Here is my question..

We have an in-house J2EE application and i would like to integrate it with the portal..

Simply i can create a URL i view to integrate into portal... no issues with that

But that application has got a logon page( jsp/servlet) which uses active directory credentials(same as portal).

So i would like to avoid the manual authentication part i.e. when a user access the i view, it should not ask him for the credentials..

I've defined a HTTP system for my application and a URL iview to use that system..

If i use request method "Get" and pass the parameters "username" and "password"- i'm able to login successfully.

the same thing doesn't work if i use POST method.

Moreover i don't want hard code the credentials and i would like enable SSO where the portal login details should be passed onto my HTTP application.

I'm not sure if i can make use "mapped user" and "mapped password" for this.. in fact i'd my attempt failed..

Please guide

Thank you..
