Hi experts,
since we are using the AJAX Frameworkpage, URL application parameters for transaction iViews are not passed to transaction any more (Portal version is 7.31).
For example we are calling transaction VA03 via htmlGUI and the following link:
But VBELN parameter gets not filled any more.
If I call the portal with default frameworkpage everything is working fine.

I'm implementing ESS for WDA and I need to configure Reimbursements for creating CLAIMS.
I've configured HRESS_CLMS_EE_IN from my launch pad and now the application is working but the create button is opening the below page of app integrator rather the Create Claims Page. Below is the screenshot

When utilizing the Enterprise Portal you encounter a blank white screen within the Detailed Level Navigation. In some instances a change occurrence such as a Portal upgrade or System Migration can cause the setup and display to become 
problematic.
On some occasions when you are using the Ajax Portal Theme in the Enterprise Portal (EP) the rendering of portal theme itself fails in the Detailed Level Navigation.
A "white" blank background gets displayed on Detailed level Navigation, making the text on detailed level navigation unreadable and invisible. The issue occurs alongside the use of the Internet Explorer (IE) Web Browser Platform versions.

I would like to know if it´s possible to prevent the execution of EPCM.doNavigate (something like a preventDefault). I already manage to listen when a doNavigate is performed but now I want to stop the execution, do what I need to do and then call again the EPCM.doNavigate to perform the original call.

We are planning to upgrade our SAP Portal which is on NW 7.0 EHP2 to NW 7.4 . Our backend is ERP6.0 EHP6. We are using portal for ESS/MSS package and SSO to SAP.
Need some information on this area.
1. Can we directly upgrade Portal to NW7.4 without any need to upgrade our backend system component.
2. Does TREX also need to be upgraded when upgrading portal .
Can some one share a step by step guide on how to upgrade portal on things . Yes i have am going through upgrade guide but someone who has done it before and capture steps will be helpful as i have not done portal upgrade before

We started configuring the Fiori Launchpad on Portal to check two options.
1. Consume the remote Fiori Catalogs to Portal
2. Consume existing portal applications from the Fiori Launchpad on portal
We are on NW 7.40 SP11
I have enabled the Fiori Launchpad and changed the Portal desktop rules for Fiori framework.
I have followed below link as well.

I have set the iView properties as specified.
Now, when I run the fiori Launchpad with the link:
https://<host>:<port>/irj/portal/fiori
Once I do it, It opens the FIori Launchpad and then gives below error.
When I checked in Developer Tools (F12) on Google chrome, I was getting the 500 error for below specific URL.
When we checked on the logs on portal, we got below log and no further details.
In above test, we had used the Web Dispatcher host name & port to access it.
When we tried with direct host name and port for the portal, we do not get this error.
Can anyone let me know what could be the issue?
Note: We are getting this error for both the scenarios whether we are consuming the remote catalog or utilize from the portal.

I'm working in environment where EP is deployed to be used as an access point of SAP BW reports.
We want to create some BW BEx query views and save them under BEx Portfolio.
My question is whether such an item saved in BEx Portfolio can be transported from DEV system of portal to QAS and PRD?

Hi experts,
We have 2 roles out of which one is a standard SRM role(central confirmation). As per requirement we need to implement both under a common folder named XYZ. We have specified merge ID for the folder and made it as entry point.
The problem is, due to this navigation the central confirmation role's Services section is going to the extreme left and it is getting hidden. When the common folder XYZ is removed and when this role is made as entry point it shows the contents properly.
Maintaining any folder structure like this is making this problem. Kindly note that central confirmation role is a WORKCENTER role and we are using the coy of the standard one.
Please suggest any ideas on how to resolve this or is there anything to be done specifically for workcenter roles, since we are not facing any such issue with other roles.

Our admin team mentioned that security protocol TLS1.0 will be disabled at the Portal Server OS Level at our workplace.
Will there be any issues with normal access of portal ?
Any impact on ABAP/APIs ?
Any inputs are highly appreciated
Based on my initial analysis, SAP has these protocols at its Kernel level and may not have any impact.

We are currently evaluating the possibilities of the new Fiori Launchpad Framework Page in the current SAP Enterprise Portal 7.5.
We tried to extend the search capabilities using the extension points but this did not work.
We also tried to enhance the formatter for the search result but this did not work as well.
Do you have any ideas how to solve this issue?

There are options available in which the iview can be opened up in a separate window. While opening it, it shows the address bar as well showing the url of the ivew opened. You want to hide the address bar of an Iview so that only the content is shown.

We have implemented HR renewal UI5 application in portal. All the necessary configuration are done for task id TS12300097 ABAP WebDynpro.
The leave request is appearing for one user and it is coming in worklist of other user(approver) without any issue.
But when that worklist is opened from approver's worklist, it is showing Service cannot be reached. URL not available. 404 not found kind of error. When we opened the properties it is pointing to URL that is pointing to JAVA webdynpro application instead of ABAP Webdynpro. Also,we have maintained all the necessary visualization parameters for abap webdynpro in swfvisu transaction code correctly.
Can anyone come with any solution for this.

all I receive in Portal's Content Studio is "no content found":
the URL collecting the Frontent Catalogue delivers XML like this:
I cannot judge whether this is a valid response from Frontendserver. Is there somewhere a valid sample to use as reference ?
