Changing Longon page image in Portal 7.3

Hi All,

 

I am trying to change the brand image on the logon page for Portal 7.3 but not succeesing.

I took the "tc~sec~ume~logon~ui.war" file from the portal server, changed the file extension to "zip" and used winzip to extract the files.

The files were extracted and I placed my image in the layout folder.Since my image is of different dimensions, I changed the css class for the image to different width and height as per the properties of my image.

 

I zipped the files and folders back to ".zip" and the changed the extension to ".war" and placed it in the server and also restarted the server.I also changed the path for the image in NWA to the new image.

 

But my changes are not reflecting.I am not sure why it is not reflecting.

 

Can someone please help.I have attached the screenshot of the extracted folders and files.

 

Following are the content of the war file when unzipped.Is it the complete list or is anything is missing?

Cannot find “Employee search” option portal - EHP7

Customer says, on previous version of portal, they had “Employee search” option in which anyone can search for basic data of any colleagues. Right now in EHP7, there is no such options. Did we miss activation at any place or missing any notes?

Error while importing the theme in the portal

Hi All,

 

When iam trying to import one existing portal theme, iam getting the following error.

 

Exception caught during theme import: java.lang.IllegalStateException: "portal.zip" does not exist !

 

Portal.Zip file exists in the theme zip file.

Please advice.

Is property "portal.runtime.exception.errorcomponent" working in CE NetWeaver Administrator v7.20?

 

NWA -> Configuration Management -> Infrastructure -> Java System Properties

Services -> Portal Runtime Container Extension -> portal.runtime.exception.errorcomponent

 

This property is meant for customizing error message for runtime exception.

 

When click on Show Details button, all the values cannot be changed. Please refer to attachment. Not sure if this is still under development. Please advise.

Anonymous access to Documents via TREX Index stored in DMS

Good day,

 

My requirement is as follows:

We have made DMS our document repository but no all our employees have SAP access and we are required by law that our documents are readily available to all employees.  To ensure compliance we currently maintain the documents on a network share and in DMS which posses a risk.

So to achieve this we wanted to make access to our portal anonymous and then give the people access to the Taxonomies to the documents

 

What we have done:

We have setup SSO via portal making use of Kerberos

I have been able to get my anonymous access to work on my portal 7.31.  All the relevent iViews and content has been set to allow anonymous access.

We have DMS, TREX and taxonomies setup

Authenticated user are able to see a list of documents and are able to open them.

However when my anonymous user opens the indexes they are empty (no files are listed).

Access to the taxonomies are achieved through a custom HTML page with links in such as this (same file authenticated users access)

"/irj/go/km/navigation/taxonomies/KM_Index_PPO_002/General_Mining/Classified/Document Types?rndLayoutSet=Z_ConsumerTable_DMS"\

 

I have attached screenshots showing the two results.

 

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Scenario:

We are connecting SAP Mobile Documents to SharePoint 2010 using the SSO22KerbMap ISAPI Module.

 

Setup:

Mobile Document FQDN = mobiledocsserver.domain.com

SharePoint FQDN = sharepointserver.domain.com

SharePoint URL = sharepointurl.domain.com:3008

 

ERROR:

Basic Authentication is True

Windows Authentication is set to Negotiate: Kerberos

 

On Mobile Documents side I have 2 destinations setup:

Destination 1 (PING Successful)

Authentication: Basic

User: DOMAIN\svc_user

 

Destination 2: (PING fails with error above)

Business Packages for ESS/MSS, HR Renewal and HR Administrator

Hi Experts,

 

Iam a basis consultant and had ew queries on the Business packages to be installed on our NW Portal system.

Currently we are on

 

Backend system          :           EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0

SAP Portal                    :           SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SR1

 

SAP_HR              600       0064

EA-HR                600       0064

 

For ESS MSS (both Generic & WDA),

 

1) Do we need to deploy EA-HR_MSS add-on on our backend ECC ? If yes, what would be the version ?

 

2) Based on the system we have, What are all Portal business packages (list) should we deploy into Portal? and sequence to follow?

we have different verions of (BP ERP05 ESS, BP ERP05 COMMON PARTS & BP ERP05 MSS ), which version has to be deployed ?

do I need mss add-on Portal business pack also??

 

3) Need to deploy HR Renewal and HR Administrator Business packages as well, so could you please advice what version needs to be installed ? Unable to find HR Renewal as a Business Package in the market place.

 

4) Any post-installation activity after importing the business packgages in portal ?

ERROR: import com.sap.security.core.util.notification.SendMailAsynch

Hi Experts,

 

I am trying to use the class com.sap.security.core.util.notification.SendMailAsynch to send notifications in 7.3 portal. The class is available in sap.com~tc~sec~ume~core~impl.jar file. I am however not able reference this jar in my application. I have created a DC and edited the classpath variable BIN_EXT as described in the post http://scn.sap.com/thread/2125638 , but the build is resulting in build errors as below. There  are no errors during compilation and the paths are correctly resolved.

 

[javac] ERROR: E:\SAPDEV\nwds7.3\workspace.jdi\0\HU_TEST\test.com\sec\test\mailservice\_comp\src.core\com\test\SendMail.java:8: package com.sap.security.core.util.notification does not exist

 

I also tried adding the jar file directly to the buildpath with the same result. What is missing? Is there any way I can define a dependency to this jar file?

UMEBackendconnection (pool size)

Hi,

 

We are configuring AS Abap as our UME connection in SAP NW 7.3 ehp6, however we are unaware of the fact as to how to define the parameters for RFC destination "UMEBackendConnection"

 

We require information about how to configure the pool settings of this RFC Destination, we tried finding sap notes regarding this but were unable to get the proper solutions :

 

The default values are :

 

max connections :      10

 

pool size     :                 5

 

max. wait time in ms   10,000.

 

We actualy need to configure the above mentioned  values according to our need..as to what value should be given according to our need,

 

please suggest.

Web Page composer - Custom web form issue

Hi experts,

 

I have succesfully created a custom web form for web page composer, I want to hide the "Preview" tab in the editor; according to SAP Help the parameter showpreview="false" in the web form xml definition is intended to do that.. but it has no effect, the Preview is always showing..

 

any hints??

Changing the CSS file in portal 7.3 and uploading back inportal

Hi All,

 

I have requirement for changing the theme that i have to change the CSS. do i have downloaded the theme file from content admin and made the changes in CSS file zip the file again and uploaded in system admin theme transport. But it gives error portal.zip not found.

 

I have checked the Http property mentioned in other forum it is correct in my case.

 

do anybody knows how to upload the file again.

Browser document Mode in Custom Framework works partially.

Hallo.

 

In our custom Framework, I have the iview "Browser Document Mode"

Property "Browser Document Mode"="IE=EmulateIE7"

 

When I browse in the portal, it works and if I search the document mode, using,the Internet Explorer developer tool, I see:
"Non-standard IE 5 Document type" and it works right.

 

When I open a km news to create a new one, it opens a separate page, and it doesn't work well.

 

I see : "Non-standard Document type" and it dosen't work well when I browse in km folder.

 

 

If I force "Non-standard IE 5 Document type"

 

How can I solve it ?

 

Could you jelp me?

Portal Client changed

Hi Team,

 

Requesting a quick help.

 

We were changed the portal client from 200 to 100. Now everything is setup. SSO is fine.

 

But when i click on links in portal, it is still asking for 200 client credentials, but the client completely deleted from the system.

 

Kindly let me know where i still missed.

QA Iview pointing to production

Hi Team,

 

We have an issue.

 

We have a page to which iview is assigned in QA. But when i click this in portal, it is asking for production credentials. Some times we copy the configs from production to QA.

 

I understand that we have maintained the production details some where. But unable to identify whre it is ? And i checked thouroughly the properties of Iview.

 

Iview is asking production credentials.

 

Please help.

Hello SAP experts

 

 

Is there a tranaction code in the SAP Gui that lets me take control of what a manager

sees in the Universal Worklist ? I am using EHP7.

 

:I need to delete some old messages and also approve or reject some leave request workflows

in the test system but do not have a Workflow consultant to help me with this.

 

 

Would be great if someone can help me with this.
