SAP Portal Blank Screen- URGENT
Hi Guys,
I was trying to edit the standard LogonHelpApp by deleting the "Cancel Button" from the ResetPasswordPage jsp. I started by importing the tc~sec~ume~logon~ui.war into NWDS 7.31 edited the JSP to delete the cancel button and deployed it to the server. Then I changed the property Alias of the aplication for customizing login pages (ume.logon.application.ui_resources_alias) but then when i checked the login page of the portal. Everything is gone! The login page even the /nwa/auth is just showing a blank screen.
Kindly let me know what I should do. Thanks a lot!

To go first, Mobile Portal as mentioned in the movie has the ability to add value to the customers with high return on investment. Now I know why customers are keen about the Mobile Portal applications, Webapplications with cross device support and availability of role based access, now that is something amazing. The movie provides clarity on some misconceptions as well. You will find a brief on SAP Fiori too. Other discussion is based on the benefits of Cloud Portal. I tried theme designer, but didn't succeed.
I have also tried using transaction SE80 > BSP > /UI2/LAUNCHPAGE but cant find anything useful.

How to integrate GIS Maps to Netweaver Portal?
Hello Experts,
We GIS Maps integrated in SAP netweaver Portal 7.3 eph1 , but we got a requirement to upgrade GIS to higher Version and the problem is in the higher versions of GIS it would ask User to Enter Password without which user cannot access GIS Maps.
Current System:
We have created a URL iview and have given the url of GIS Maps , so when the User Logs into Portal he/she can see the GIS tab, Click on it and access GIS Maps.
New System:
Once the user Log into Portal and clicks on Maps Tab it is will again ask the user to enter Password without which Maps are not accessible if i use the same method as above to integrate the Maps into SAP Portal.
so Could you please let me the Best Possible way to integrate the GIS Map so that it makes use of SSO and will not prompt the user to enter Username/Password again & again.

Corrupt response with overlapping JCA/JCO connections
Hi,
We're using JCA connections (JCO under the hood) to connect from the portal to an ECC back-end using SSO. Normally everything works fine, and we can call bapis and get the data back to the portal. The requests are coming from a browser initially and these are being reformatted into JCA calls by a DC, and the results reformatted into JSON and returned to the browser.
However, if the application on the browser submits a second request before the first one has returned, we get a 'double response' back at the browser for one call, and nothing in the second one (or vice versa). This appears to be related to the JCA/JCO connection since I have proved that if the requests just get information from the portal everything is fine, ie. the portal can cope with multiple requests from the same http session. It is worth stressing that the requests destined for the back-end have to overlap for the problem to occur - sequential bapi calls are fine.
In the JCA/JCO situation, I would have thought that each request would get it's own thread on the portal server, and each of these thread's would run through the same code independently and get an independent connection to the back end (note that I do not have any static objects that could affect this) ? They obviously don't because of the mashed up response - anyone got any idea why ?

Can POWL work items be executed from Portal???
Hi All,
May any one tell me if POWL work items from any other system (GRC, for example) be executed in Portal?
As of now, the POWL item is visible in Portal. However, it can not be executed and give below error:
Not sure how to troubleshoot this and get these POWL items executed from Portal. Any help on this would be a great help!

UWL refreshes doesnt follow Delta Pull Channel Refresh Period (90secs), refreshes at random timings.

Cleaning up old iviews/pages/worksets
Hello,
We have a lot of old iviews/pages/worksets that we continue to leave in our existing portal content folder structure. It makes it very difficult to find the current active iviews and know for sure you are working with the correct item. What is the best practice for "archiving" this old portal content? I could just re-organize the folders in portal content so that the active items are together and the old items are in an archived folder area. But should I do something to clean out this old stuff from our test and production systems? Is it taking up space on our test and production system such that we should do something to have it removed?

Chrome on iPad
I was testing the ESS Personal Profile using different browsers and devices. I was allowed to test it on Chrome on my laptop. When I tried to use Chrome on an iPad, I received an error message. Do I need to update a setting to allow Chrome to be used on iPads so that I can test and see if it works?
Safari on the iPad seemed to work fine.

Edit Cancel Button in LogonHelpApp in Portal 7.3
Hi Guys,
If you notice, the standard LogonHelpApp's cancel button does not go to the Main Logon screen in the Portal. So my goal is to let the Cancel button redirect back to the Main logon screen.
I have imported the tc-sec-ume-logon-ui war file in NWDS. I can see the Cancel button in resetPasswordPage..jsp but cannot find the code where it redirects on click.
Do you know what part of the war file's code I will change?

scn sap not working in portal
Hello SCN,
I want to integrate google or scn.sap.com into SAP Enterprise Portal 7.31. Could you please let me know the procedure to integrate it.
I created URL iView for the same and assigned to a role. When i try to access the iView under the role it is throwing the below message
"To help protect the security of the information you enter into this website, the published of the content doesnot allow it to be displayed in a frame".

URL/App integrator Iview shows error 'This content cannot be displayed in a frame'
Hi Experts, Our requirement is simple, but we are struggling to get out of this error. We have implement SAML-SSO to an external site and have used App Integration Iview to go to that external url, but when clicked on this iview from portal role this gives the above error 'This content cannot be displayed in a frame'. Even tried with URL iview which cannot resolve this issue, url iview works fine when previewed from PCD, but it throws an error when clicked from the portal role as above. I have tried with all iview properties like launch in a new window, fetch mode to client, server etc ... Because of this issue we could not able to reach external site. Any quicker response is much appreciated. We are on Portal 7.31. Thanks in Advance Satheessh

we are running portal NW 7 (SP26).
Looks like I was in the wrong discussion:
Is there a guide how to setup ABAP and LDAP in parallel in portal NW 7 for SSO?
We want to provide users SSO via Kerberos (Windows Domain Controller) for our NW 7 portal.
I am looking for the documentation how to set this up.
Based on Samuli Kaski answer this should be possible, but SAP note 718383 is still it is not ...

Hello,
Can someone please give me some information on this.
I have an Enterprise Portal 7.02 which is used by users to access ESS/MSS
I also have a BW 7.3 (ABAP/Java Dual stack) which is used to display BW reports with its own Portal. Since this Portal has BI Java usage type, it can display different types of BW reports.
I would like to get some clarity on the following:
1) What type of BW reports I can execute from my Enterprise Portal. I know there are Application Integration iView templates by default. Can I use them to display BW reports
2) What additional type of BW reports I can execute from BI Java Portal (which cannot be executed from Enterprise Portal)

URL mapping in web dispatcher
