I am trying to create a BEx Web Application Iview (SAP Netweaver 7.0 Format) in my BW JAVA portal, for a BEx query. Portal version is 7.4 SP05. I have defined the Query String as "template=<web template>&query=<query name>&report=<report name>".
When the user launch this Iview from Portal, I want this Iview to show the Variable Entry screen, i mean the filter screen, where the user needs to enter the search criteria and on click of OK button, the query result should be shown.
But the issue i am facing is, In the query designed in BEx, all the key fields are defaulted to some value. So the Iview, when launched from Portal, displays the Query result directly, instead of showing the filter screen. If I remove the default value from at-least one key field, it shows the filter screen on launch from portal.
So, how do I maintain default values for all the key fields and show the filter screen to the user on launch from portal.
Any pointers on this would be appreciated.
