At this moment we are faced witha difference in thedisplay/rendering betweentwo7.4portalsystems (see red area’s in screenshots).Bothsystemsaregreen fieldinstallations.
At ourLABsystemwithEP-BASIS 1000.7.40.7.0.20140421205300andEP-RUNTIME1000.7.40.7.0.20140414131600theportal isrenderedasfollows:

Bothportalsystems usethestandardSAP GoldReflectiontheme.
The expectation was thattheDEVportalwould have the sameview as theLABportal.Unfortunately, it appears thattheDEVportalfalls back to theolderstandard SAPTradeshow themewhen displaying (for example) the PortalContentStudio ortheUWL. Different stylesheets (CSS) are loaded. There is no unifiedrendering and in our opinion this is not correct.
SCNprovidesmuch information about thevariousrenderingproblems thatexists in the use of Internet Explorer in combination withtheSAP Portal. However,it isunclear to uswhere tostart with theanalysisof this problem.
Answers /suggestionsto the following questionswillbe highly appreciated:
- Is it correctthatthe portal by default should make useofURwhen the SAP GoldReflectiontheme is used?
- Is the differenceofrenderingcaused by the differencein the versions ofthe EPBASIS /EPRUNTIME? (DEV portal has higher SP/patch level than LAB);
- How to investigate this issue further and finally solve it?
