Dear Experts,
we are currently running a NetWeaver Portal in Germany.
To improve the performance for customers in Asia,
we decided to set up a second mirrored portal in Asia.
To synchronize the data between the two portals,
we are going to use the Federated Portal Network.
The portal in Germany is going to be the "Producer",
the portal in Asia the "Consumer".
If we use the FPN, most of the time there is still a connection to Germany,
even if a customer from Asia connects to the new Portal in Asia.
Therefore it's very important to cache as many data as possible.
The question is: Do we get cache advantages by using "Data Remote Links"
compared to the "Remote Role Assignment"?
