Business Objects missing under Portal Content Management !

Hi All,

I was checking my Business Object in my Quality Portal 7.3 in Content Administration > Portal content Management.

I found that the E-Recruiting folder under "Business Objects > ERP Common Parts > Human Resources > E-Recruiting" does not have any objects at all.Its an empty folder.

Could any one tell me what could be the problem?

The BPs for e-Recuting have been deployed.The objects are present in my development portal.

Could some one guide me on this.

Warm Regards

Saurabh

Transaction iView opening in a separate window in SAP NW 7.3 portal

Hi Experts

    I have created a transaction iView for LSO transaction.The iView is a SAP GUI for HTML type.When I am trying to open the iView from the portal , it opens in a separate tab instead of as a pop-up window.

  The Launch in a New window property is set to Display in the portal content area.

  If I try to edit the Launch in a window property and set it to Lock in target objects , it opens in the portal content area, but I want it to open in a complete new window as a pop-up.

  I have attached screenshot of the expected result.

  Please suggest.

IPHeaderLoginModuleLibrary for Securing Header Authentification

Hello,

we want to use the HeaderVariableLoginModule for a SSO called from another non-SAP server.

To ensure, that only this server can send the Header with the user name, we want to use the "IPHeaderLoginModuleLibrary" from Jörg Wulftange.

See following SDN document:Securing Header Authentication

Unfortunately the folling resource is no longer availble in the SDN:

https://sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/business_packages/a1-8-4/IPHeaderLoginModuleLibrary.zip

Has anybody this module in use and is it possible to send me the file(s)?.

Thanks & Regards

UWL Connector Issue

Hi All,

We need to configure UWL.

Scenario:

We have a portal [P] and ECC [E].

The portal can be accessed internally via http://internallink.hostone.com:5XXXXX/irj/portal and externally via https://externallink.hosttwo.com/irj/portal

Similarly ECC also has been defined with hostone and hosttwo links for internal and external. Both the system objects for ECC have been defined in portal - SAP_INT and SAP_EXT.

New requirement is to make the UWL usuable via the external link. [UWL was working fine via internal link]

Problem:

TS IDs are different for internal link users and external link users. But we are not able to open tasks via external link. When clicked from UWL it is opening tasks via internal ITS path.

XML for external tasks:

<ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.TS92000097.SAP_EXT" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView" defaultAction="viewDetail" executionMode="default">

<ItemTypeCriteria systemId="SAP_EXT" externalType="TS01000097" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>

We are also unable to define a new Webflow connector with SAP_EXT as the system details are same as SAP_INT, thus the external connector is getting deactivated referring to existing system details of SAP_INT.

Please help. Can the issue be addresed by making the two hostname [hostone and hosttwo] same?

Thanks

Unable to access Approve Clockin/Clockout application from UWL

Hi All,

We are unable to access approve clockin/clockout correction application from UWL.

We found one Note - 1600953.

In that notes first step is mentioned as to replace the PCD path of UWL page .

We are using custom UWL page in portal so for replacing we have to replace with PCD of Custom Page or Standard page in configuration xml file?

Also we replaced below code for Clockin/clockout workitem with the task TS91000330:

***********************************************************************

<ItemType

name="uwl.task.webflow.TS91000330.SAP_ECC_HumanResources"

connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView"

defaultAction="defaultAction"

executionMode="default">

      <ItemTypeCriteria

systemId="SAP_ECC_HumanResources" externalType=" TS91000330"

connector="WebFlowConnector"/>

        </CustomAttributeSource>

      </CustomAttributes>

launchInNewWindow="yes">

          </Properties>

          <Descriptions

default="defaultAction"/>

        </Action>

      </Actions>

    </ItemType>

REQUEST_ID value is getting as empty/null.

Also please let us know where these request ID's will store for this application.

Thanks,
Ravi.

Confused about Versions in Portal and NWDI

Hi,

Here is the scenario:

My Portal is on 7.02 SP11. when i check the http://<hostname>:<portno>/monitoring/ComponentInfo, i see the following are the versions

SAP-EU – 7.02 SP11

SAP-JEE  - 7.02 SP11

SAP-JEECOR – 7.02 SP11

SAP_ESS – 603 SP3

SAP_JTECHF – 7.02 SP11

SAP_JTECHS – 7.02 SP11

SAP_MSS – 600 SP14

SAP_PPCUI_GP – 603 SP2

I log into my NWDI(CMS – Transport Studio – Check in tab), click on track for Ess/Mss, i find the following details:

sap.com_SAP-EU – Release 7.00 SP14

sap.com_SAP_JEE – Release 7.00 SP14

sap.com_SAP_ESS – Release 603 SP 3

sap.com_SAP_JTECHS – Release 7.00 SP14

sap.com_SAP_MSS – Release 600 SP14

sap.com_SAPPCUI_GP – Release 603 SP3

Now, if i import the track from NWDI into my NWDS, customise any ESS components and deploy to my portal, would it cause any inconsistencies due to the version mismatch?

J

Single file custom logging for portal service in 7.31

Hello Experts,

I have a portal service.
The service writes sensitive data to the DB and therefore I need tracing mechanism.

Until now I've used a custom txt file but now I want to use the SAP J2EE logging infrastructure (for performance, identifying user sessions etc...)

Since the severity of the messages will be set to 'info' I don't want to write the log entries to 'defaultTrace.trc', I want to write it to a custom file.

I'm aware of 'ForceSingleTraceFile' parameter but where can I set the logging properties? (in older portals I could use logger.xml in my portal component project and set a custom log file but as far as I understand 'logger.xml' is not supported anymore and its parameters are ignored).

Where can I find the documentation for setting logging properties for portal service in 7.31?

J2EE/Portal version is 7.31 SP7.

Regards,
Omri

Some characters are missing after generate to PDF

Hi Experts,

I have a problem while generating report to PDF. Some characters are missing after generating as the figure below.

On the left is from PDF and on the right is the one that it supposed to be.

Did anyone experience the same problem? Is there anyway to change the font of PDF?

Thank you in advance.

Minimal SAP version UME backend system

Hi there,

We have a requirement to implement SAP password self service on a SAP 4.0B system (yes, we know it's old).

What we are considering is to install a new portal, connect the UME to the R3 system and then activate user self services on the portal so that people can change their own passwords. It is however very hard to find documentation from SAP that confirms that a portal can use a 4.0B system as it's UME source.

Can anyone here shed some light on this topic?

Sander
