Changing Authschemes.xml file

Hi All,

I am working on Portal Logon page customization for Portal 7.4.

I downloaded the .war file for logon page customization and modified it as per requirement through NWDS by creating a Project.

Changes are done and they are reflected on logon screen as well. I followed this doc for the same: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-27909 : (Kept the names of project created, alias, and provider as in the doc for now).

But now I also want to change the authscheme.xml file on server, so that any upgrades, don't overwrite my changes. Tried to change it by replacing the “com.sap.portal.runtime.logontext/string in xml file with my ear project /application name which in this case wastc~sec~ume~logon~uiEAR”.

But after these changes, the logon screen went blank, I mean on opening portal url, nothing comes up or it comes up with a runtime error.

However I was able to login into NWA.

runtimeerror.jpg

For now I have reverted the changes, but any idea/pointers of what all needs to be changed in authscheme.xml.

Thanks,
Somya

Confused about Versions in Portal and NWDI

Hi,

Here is the scenario:

My Portal is on 7.02 SP11. when i check the http://<hostname>:<portno>/monitoring/ComponentInfo, i see the following are the versions

SAP-EU – 7.02 SP11

SAP-JEE  - 7.02 SP11

SAP-JEECOR – 7.02 SP11

SAP_ESS – 603 SP3

SAP_JTECHF – 7.02 SP11

SAP_JTECHS – 7.02 SP11

SAP_MSS – 600 SP14

SAP_PPCUI_GP – 603 SP2

I log into my NWDI(CMS – Transport Studio – Check in tab), click on track for Ess/Mss, i find the following details:

sap.com_SAP-EU – Release 7.00 SP14

sap.com_SAP_JEE – Release 7.00 SP14

sap.com_SAP_ESS – Release 603 SP 3

sap.com_SAP_JTECHS – Release 7.00 SP14

sap.com_SAP_MSS – Release 600 SP14

sap.com_SAPPCUI_GP – Release 603 SP3

Now, if i import the track from NWDI into my NWDS, customise any ESS components and deploy to my portal, would it cause any inconsistencies due to the version mismatch?

Hi Guys!

I have an issue regarding the iview family/dependents (lang: Dutch).

(com.sap.pct.erp.ess.13.fam)

We can start the iview properly, but when trying to create/edit/delete one of the subitems the following error is raised:

issue_family_dependents_iview.PNG

Note: we don't have modified anything in the Portal or Backend regarding the functionality.

Has anyone a clue?

Embedded content

We are trying to embed a content of SAP EP 6.40 into SAP EP 7.4 and we have the following error:

Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; MS-RTC LM 8)

Code: 0

URI: https://MyContainerPortal/com.sap.portal.epcf.loader/script/optimize/js13_epcf.js?7.310000014

The steps that we’ve followed in SAP EP 6.40 are:

  1. Modify web.xml from SAP EP 6.40 to defining the new Alias (portal/interop) with the parameter “nested_window=1”.
  2. Create a framework and a desktop to include the content
  3. Modify the rule collection to display this desktop by the new “alias”.

The steps in 7.40:

  1. Show the content by an URL iview,:
  • URL = https://MyInnerPortal/irj/portal/interop
  • NavigationTarget = ROLES://portal_content/com.mycompany.folders.crm/com.mycompany.Roles.roles/com.mycompany.roles.Collaboration/com.mycompany.worksets.mycompany_room/com.mycompany.pages.room_directory_mycompany

In “PORTAL_1.png” attachment you can view the correct embedded, then it’s correct the use of alias, framework, desktop, etc..

In “PORTAL_2.png” attachment you can view the error when you try to navigate in all of parts(links) of embedded view. Also, the navigation by TLN of portal container (7.40) is inactive with the same error.

I have integrated other content and working properly.

It may be an incompatibility to embed the Collaboration Rooms, with these versions of SAP EP or all versions?

Thanks and Regards.

Create Overview Page for custom workset.

$

Hello All,

Its very difficult to understand the sap portal navigation from role to workset, workset to page, page to iview and workset that have overview page. You might be thinking why i am say this, the reason behind this is that from past 1 week i am my trying to create overview page for my workset bu not possible at all.

My development has follow:

A] create 5 Iview under Iview folder

Iview folder :

1. First Iview

2. Second Iview

3. Third Iview

4. Fourth Iview

5. Fifth Iview

B] For each Iview create a page that contain corresponding Iview and Google Tracker & JS Inactivity timer. I have done same what is done in std overview page.

1. First Page: First Iview along Google Tracker & JS Inactivity timer iview

2. Second page: Second Iview along Google Tracker & JS Inactivity timer iview

3. Third Page: Third Iview along Google Tracker & JS Inactivity timer iview

4. Fourth Page: Fourth Iview along Google Tracker & JS Inactivity timer iview

5. Fifth Page: Fifth Iview along Google Tracker & JS Inactivity timer iview

created Addition Page known as Overview Page that contain iview ESS Suboverview, Google Tracker & JS Inactivity timer. The Sort property for page as follow:

1. First Page:       2

2. Second page:   3

3. Third Page:      4

4. Fourth Page:    5

5. Fifth Page:       6

6. Overview Page: 1

The reason that Overview page sort property is 1, This page will displayed when Workset is click and with this page above page's are listed in form of link in the sequence they are listed. When link is click the portal navigated to application. i.e. iview.

C] Created Role and inserted page as follow

Work Set

     Overview Page

     Folder for page ( A folder is created inside workset which contain rest all pages)

.         First Page:

          Second page:

          Third Page:

          Fourth Page:

          Fifth Page:

After Workset is created the role is assigned to stand ESS role.

Now the The issue is that when i click on workset link, the overview page is displayed but without listing actual pages. as show in below image.

                                issue.PNG

But Standard Overview pages the actual/sub pages are listed as shown in below image:

                                   std.PNG

And even under Detailed navigation the folder is displayed which i have created but same case is not with standard overview pages.

How can i create my own overview page as per standard overview page. Please help me on this issue.

Thanks

Hi All,

We are unable to access approve clockin/clockout correction application from UWL.

We found one Note - 1600953.

In that notes first step is mentioned as to replace the PCD path of UWL page .

We are using custom UWL page in portal so for replacing we have to replace with PCD of Custom Page or Standard page in configuration xml file?

Also we replaced below code for Clockin/clockout workitem with the task TS91000330:

***********************************************************************

<ItemType

name="uwl.task.webflow.TS91000330.SAP_ECC_HumanResources"

connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView"

defaultAction="defaultAction"

executionMode="default">

      <ItemTypeCriteria

systemId="SAP_ECC_HumanResources" externalType=" TS91000330"

connector="WebFlowConnector"/>

<CustomAttributes>

        <CustomAttributeSource

id="WEBFLOW_CONTAINER" objectIdHolder="externalObjectId"

objectType="WebflowContainer"

cacheValidity="final">

          <Attribute name="REQUESTID"

type="string" displayName="Request

ID"/>

        </CustomAttributeSource>

      </CustomAttributes>

      <Actions>

        <Action

name="defaultAction" groupAction="" handler="ObjectNavigationLauncher"

returnToDetailViewAllowed="yes"

launchInNewWindow="yes">

          <Properties>

            <Property

name="Operation" value="approvecorrections"/>

             <Property

name="ObjectValue"

value="REQUEST_ID=${item.REQUESTID}&FROM_POWL=X"/>

<Property name="DynamicParameter"

value="REQUEST_ID=${item.REQUESTID}&FROM_POWL=X"/>

            <Property

name="ObjectName" value="employee"/>

<Property name="System"

value="SAP_ERP_HumanResources"/>

    <Property name="openInNewWindow"

value="true"/>

          </Properties>

          <Descriptions

default="defaultAction"/>

        </Action>

      </Actions>

    </ItemType>

REQUEST_ID value is getting as empty/null.

Also please let us know where these request ID's will store for this application.

Single file custom logging for portal service in 7.31

$

Hello Experts,

I have a portal service.
The service writes sensitive data to the DB and therefore I need tracing mechanism.

Until now I've used a custom txt file but now I want to use the SAP J2EE logging infrastructure (for performance, identifying user sessions etc...)

Since the severity of the messages will be set to 'info' I don't want to write the log entries to 'defaultTrace.trc', I want to write it to a custom file.

I'm aware of 'ForceSingleTraceFile' parameter but where can I set the logging properties? (in older portals I could use logger.xml in my portal component project and set a custom log file but as far as I understand 'logger.xml' is not supported anymore and its parameters are ignored).

Where can I find the documentation for setting logging properties for portal service in 7.31?

J2EE/Portal version is 7.31 SP7.

Omri

Hi experts,

I'm working with SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.0.1 (Windows). After deploying some PAR files and installing a new Theme, I have made changes on the rule collection.

After restart I cannot see the logon page. Nothing happens by "http://myhost:50000/irj/portal" (it is just a blank page). In source code, there are no helpful information. Only in NWA (Administration) panel, I can see the error below in the logs:

Portal ITSM Link for Incident emails

$

Hi All,

We have a requirement to generate the SAP Portal ITSM link in ITSM emails for end users. Like If we create or update any incident the end users will get an notification email with the Incident number. So users can click on that link in the email which will redirect to open that particular incident.
So right now the links are generating with solution manager host, so that when user clicks on links in email will open ITSM solman directly. Without any interaction with SAP Portal.
We have Integrated Solution manager with SAP Portal for ITSM. SAP Portal Version 7.31. ITSM is working fine through portal without any issues.
We need a solution where in the SAP Portal URL need to be generated in the Incident Notification emails, so that when users click on portal ITSM link from their emails will route through SAP Portal to open the Incident directly.

Could some one please us help in this scenario.
Your valuable inputs are much appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,

Praveen

Thanks,

Hi,

I am facing an issue with my sap portal TLN.

If I click on one tab and then navigate to tab 2, the first is still highlighted (though the content loads for second but Top and second level nav still shows tab1 text/details). Then if I click on tab 2 again, its finally highlighted

Below screenshot is when I do one click for navigating from system admin to content admin:

TLN.jpg

On second click, it will finally highlight content admin with its second level navigation tabs.

Thanks,

Somya
