We have two custom roles embedded within the Everyone group.

We are trying to export Users' List possessing those portal roles mentioned above.

It is ultimately throwing "Timed Out" error.

There existed UME inconsistencies which was repaired (log file attached). Then I tried to fetch the user list, it again threw error (screenshot attached).

Please let me know how to go ahead with the request.

We currently have Portal running on SAP NETWEAVER 7.0. When we have TLS 1.0 enabled IE doesn't load the secure webpage. If we have TLS1.0 disabled and TLS 1.1 and 1.2 enabled the page comes up.

The business wants to be able to open the webpage with TLS 1.0 enabled as other websites need that.

Any ideas?

I need transport a web page composer project created some time ago , but ssem is no more possible.

I tried using internet expolorer 10 (also in compatility view), firefox 30 and crome.

I've got a requirement for which I need to provide solution to my client.

My client currently uses SAP Mobile Platform for running some of their iOS based business apps. Due to some issues they don't want to continue with SMP and want to redesign all those apps using UI5/jQuery and deploy them on SAP Netweaver Portal 7.4 for using them both on mobile/tabs. And, these apps would be browser based in new solution.

Back-end database is Oracle and if I need to use SAP Portal 7.4 - I must have to expose the data from Oracle database for using them into UI5 apps which would be running on Portal 7.4. I heard about JSON/Enterprise Services which can be used for exposing data and for consuming them into Portal, but don't have much idea on these..

I'd appreciate if you can provide me some solution approach for this requirement.

I am migrating custom developed WDJ applicatoins from NWDS7.0SP26 to NWDS7.31SP1.the UI element are migrated successfully but while clicking on botton it gives error as shown in screenshot java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError for every button.

Is it needed to change the code or missing something?

here is the procedure steps I have used:

- (NWDS 7.0 )    Open project - File / Export / Zip file

- Explode ZIP under a subdirectory under the  workspace directory of NWDS 7.3

(NWDS 7.3 )

-  File / Import / General / Existing projects into Workspace

-  select the aboce directory containing the ZIP exploded

- the project is added with a red "x" because is an older verion

- change perspective to "WEB Dynpro" Perspective

- right clic on the project imported  / Development Component / Convert Project to Development Component  --> (for location select the proposed  Local development -> MyComponents)

- choose the correct language (original)

- at the end the project appears in the list under [LocalDevelopment] NameOfTheProjec

-right click on component select migrate and follow the instruction given in migration sheet.

(I have used JEE DC to add external jar file too.)

Please help me as soon as possible.

We have a single cost element assigned to two different cost elemnt groups (Value categories).

After releasing a work order, we could see cost updated in cost report of work order for only one cost element group(Value category).

Example:

we have 2 Value Categories 001(OlD Val cat) and 420(New Val Cat).

We have assgined 62006000(Example element) cost element to both the Value categories.

In cost report of work order we could see cost pulled only for 420(New Val Cat) not on 001(OlD Val cat).

Please suggest is there any way to get cost updated for both the value categories.

We are working on theming in our portal 7.31 with ESS MSS.

We have changed the background color of page header and it is reflecting for MyTeam(MSS) but not for Employee Services(ESS). Please refer attachment.

Employee Services is a WDA application.When checked in WDA configuration, the parameter WDFORCEEXTERNALSTYLESHEET is set correctly. Portal is on higher version the WDA, so portal theme should be picked up by the application.

It is observed that The background color of Employee Services appears in the expected color for a fraction of second just before the content area loads but then changes to light blue color.

We checked the element 'Employee Services' using browser developer tools. The element is part of the whole application in the content area. So using the theme class locator did not help.

Please suggest.

we already installed SAP NW 7.4 SR1 Portal type usage, SAP Portal already connected with Solman to got Stack XML.

when we tried upgrade used SUM, we got Error when create stack from stack file.

before we upgrade SPS, we installed Business Package SRM 7.02 and sent SLD data to Solman SLD and LMDB sinchonized

We're experiencing a problem in our SAP systems which is turning us crazy.

We have 4 environments. Develpoment, Integration, Pre-production and Production. We are using Web Dynpro and SAP Portal in order to show coloured windows. The issue is related with the color of the labels that we show.

In development and production, the labels were grey, which is our desired colour. But in integration and pre-production, the same labels were shown in black colour, which is incorrect.

But since a couple of days, also in production are shown black. We've had some users notificating this error to us.

I've made a transport of the complete SAP portal theme from development portal to the rest of the environment portals. Not worked.

I've checked and compared the hexadecimal color values of the labels in both SAP portals. They are the same.

I've checked the service webgui and webdynpro paremeters in tx. SICF of both environments. They are the same.

We don't know what else to do. Any idea please? Thank you so much in advance.

This blog is for portal content administrators who would like to learn about the administration tasks required for enabling SAP Fiori Launchpad on Portal (FLP on EP). It contains pre-configured sample content that you can import into your portal. In only a few steps you can easily run the SAP Fiori Launchpad experience within the SAP NetWeaver Portal environment.

SAP Fiori Launchpad on Portal is available for portal customers as of NW 7.31 SP12 and NW 7.4 SP7.

With FLP on EP, portal users can control which applications appear in their launchpad on mobile devices and on the desktop. Portal iViews appear as tiles in the launchpad and access to content is based on portal roles, per device. Administrators can configure content to appear by default in the home page for all users and tag content as New and Recommended.

SAP Fiori Launchpad on Portal provides the following capabilities:

• The ability for administrators to configure content for different devices.
• A dedicated framework page for displaying the SAP Fiori Launchpad.
• Access to the tile catalog containing the content that users can add to their home page.
• The ability to save personalization per device.

Let`s get started:

1) In versions NW 7.31 SP12, NW 7.31 SP13, NW 7.4 SP7 and NW 7.4 SP8 only, create a URL alias and add it together with the Fiori desktop to the Master Rule Collection:
     a) Create a new URL alias using the URL Alias Manager:

     b) Add the alias together with the Fiori Desktop to the Master Rule Collection:

2) Define the relevant device types using the Device Group Manager:

3) Import the OOB_Admin.epa file located in Out of the Box FLP-EP Admin Content, using the Transport Packages import tool.

This transport package contains the following:

      a) Fiori Launchpad Categories iView - Manages categories in the tile catalog. Administrators can create categories to group applications in the tile catalog. The iView is configured with sample categories:

     b) A role for assignment to users, containing iViews that are configured to demonstrate the different properties available for FLP on EP, and web resources for the tiles:
         In order for the content to be visible in the home page and tile catalog, set a container in the hierarchy as entry point (role, workset or folder). Make sure that the iView is set to visible.

4) Work with the iViews and different properties to manage the content for FLP on EP. The following properties are available on each iView, allowing you to configure tiles according to your requirements.
Note: The iViews in the sample content has already been configured to highlight the various capabilities of FLP on EP.

1. Mandatory: Set the device groups on which the application will be displayed using the property "Object ID of Device Group". Separate the device groups with a semicolon (;). If this property is not set with any device group, the tile will not appear at all.
   
   
2. Set the categories in which the application will appear in the tile catalog using the property "Mobile App Categories". Separate the categories IDs with a semicolon (;). If this property is not set with any category ID, the tile will appear under the General default category.
   
   
3. Mark an application as default using the property "Permanent in Launcher" to make it appear in the user's home page the first time that the user logs in. Users can remove default applications from their home page. If this property is set to "False", the application will only appear in the tile catalog.
   
   
4. Set an image on the tile using theproperty "Image Type".
   
   
5. Promote applications in the tile catalog:
   • Set property "Mark as New Until".
   • Set property "Mark as Recommended Until".
     
     
6. Indicate a native applicationusing the property "Native App". If this property is set to "True", the application will only appear in mobile devices (even if the device type is set to desktop).

we have installed a Business Package on our 7.3 Portal.  Since not all roles/iView are used we would like to customize provided SAP Workcenter Role.

In fact we would like to move down from one level the role.  Is means instead of having it at the first level of navigation move it to second level of navigation (then second level should arrive at detailed navigation.  And detailed navigation stay but under tree structure).  The goal is to limit number of entry point at first level of navigation and group BP role under a "BP" entry point at first level.

I can do it easily if I copy the role and modify it via the Advance Editor.  But then I miss the Service (iView) entries that vary depending on selected item in detailed navigation.

In advance editor I don't find corresponding entries for Services.  I thought I can find it in Related links, but nothing....

So the question is: is it possible to modify a SAP Workcenter Role and move the complete row down for 1 level ?

Is there a way to apply corbu theme to Portal Centrally. Using the below link i  have applied corbu theme to ESS/MSS as these are WDA/launchpad apps.

We have E-Recruitment and LSO  applications where we are using standard roles.

Individually i have applied theme to iviews using WD config  for erec and LSO.But business want to see complete Portal in Corbu.

Left hand navigation,Portal header etc... must be in corbu.

I have tried to view SAP Notes 1783618/1948968 which doesnt open.

We are on NW 7.31 SP06 and ECC EHP6

Any helps in regards to this is appreciated

I am new to SAP portal. I want to customize our portal login page by adding a new button in the existing page. I know the default location of the war file(tc~sec~ume~logon~ui.war ) but since our portal has already been customized I would like to know the current location of my portal logon war file. I also came to know that there is no way to extract the war file directly from portal and that we need to go to th filesystem (usr/sap/sid...) in order to download the war file. Is there any way to find the location of my war file from portal???
