We are on SAP EP 7.01 SP 7 version. We have implemented CAF model and there are thousands of records stored in the portal database. because of this the performance of the portal has gone down. It takes lot of time to fetch the records. We are looking for a solution where we can move old records in some external repository. we are not sure how exactly we can achieve this. It would be a great help if anybody thrown some light on it.

Hi all,
We have upgrade portal from 7.0 to 7.31 .
We have one system created for accessing non sap application .
This system is cutom one created from PAR file.
But in 7.3 while creating system we not able to see multiple option like EP 7.0.
in EP 7.0 we have 3 options 1. system from Template 2. System from PAR 3. from Folder.
But in EP 7.3 i can see only one option that is system from Template.
Then how can i create my custom System?
Any suggestions?

I have a unique scenario that requires some assistance.
I am working at a very secure site..
I am using SAP EP 7.3 as a consumer portal along with SAP Sourcing Portal. We have 2 portal systems, one for business users and one externally for customers.
Internally
I have created a URL iView to the sourcing portal to render sourcing portal content internally this works fine with no issue
Externally
I have created the same URL iView pointing to the Sourcing Portal but I am having significant issues
I am dealing with multiple firewalls so the URL request that’s being sent to the sourcing Portal from the EP is getting lost due to the loadbalancer and firewall not passing thru the proper URL
We can not get SSO to work externally either
My question is, is there another way to integrate the sourcing portal to the EP without using a URL iView?
I’ve mentioned application integration iViews but do not see that as a template. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Experts, Our requirement is simple, but we are struggling to get out of this error. We have implement SAML-SSO to an external site and have used App Integration Iview to go to that external url, but when clicked on this iview from portal role this gives the above error 'This content cannot be displayed in a frame'. Even tried with URL iview which cannot resolve this issue, url iview works fine when previewed from PCD, but it throws an error when clicked from the portal role as above. I have tried with all iview properties like launch in a new window, fetch mode to client, server etc ... Because of this issue we could not able to reach external site. Any quicker response is much appreciated. We are on Portal 7.31. Thanks in Advance Satheessh

I am trying to setup SSO between Portal and Abap system. I have created System Object in Portal system with Logon method as 'SAPLOGNTICKET' and have exchanged certificated between both systems.
However, when I do test connect for System Object, I get below error:

I went through many blogs over SCN which explain the procedure for setup such SSO and configuration looks correct as per them. The users being used have Administartor and super_admin role on Java stack and SAP_ALL on abap. The user with same name exist on both Abap and Java system.
Please suggest how can this be resolved. Thanks.

I'm currently moving an existing system Portal to a new system and setting up SPNEGO using the wizard in the portal. The problem we've identified is that the Keberos folder and krb5.conf files are not being created after following all the steps in the SPNEGO wizard.
So, my questions are:
1) How do the krb5.conf files get created? Do we need to create an LDAP entry in the portal system configuration?
2) How should the Kerberos folder get created?
3) After running the SPNEGO wizard, does the wizard create any directories or entries?
Here are some details:
1) the new server is on Windows 2008, so we've followed the steps in this blog to add the new SPNEGO add-on files.
2) The new version of our portal is: 7.02 SP 12
3) we've created a new ADS Service User, SPN and encrypted the keytab with RC4-HMAC-NT (we received errors trying to use RC4-HMAC, had to use RC4-HMAC-NT)
4) we're using this link for the SPNEGO wizard: <host>.<port>/spnego2.cfg
What I'm expecting to happen after I follow all the steps in the SPNEGO wizard, is the creation of the Kerberos folder in this directory path:
D:\user\sap\,SID>\SYS\global\kerberos
Does anyone know why this directory wouldn't be created after using the SPNEGO wizard?

I have a requirement where instead of logon id user will be using Email id to logon to Portal.
And need to ensure that SSO is not broken with the Backend system.
Any input or suggestions on how to configure it on Portal will be very helpful.

Hi, having a strong problem with BI 4.1 web intelligence documents hosted in EP using the business objects document viewer iview and the latest Chrome browser
Using Google Chrome, BI 4.1 SP4 with SAP enterprise portal 7.3.1 SP7.0 and having chronic problems that when you view a web document it is stuck in the BOBJ opening document window with the spinning wheel and processing document.... It never displays the document loading
The webi is displayed correctly in IE11.
But, we are using Chrome because with IE11, the detailed navigation in the portal is not displayed correctly. Arg!!!!!!!!

I am trying to configure SSO using SAP logon tickets for EP 7.0. I want to test whether login ticket is generated when user logs in to portal . For that i have configured Login module stack such as j2ee engine will create and accept login tickets
I have set following properties for sap-j2ee-engine component
Login Modules Flag
EvaluateTicketLoginModule SUFFICIENT
BasicPasswordLoginModule REQUISITE
CreateTicketLoginModule OPTIONAL
But when i access the portal i am unable to find MYSAPSSO2 cookie generated on my machine under cookies folder.
Where can i see MYSAPSSO2 cookie or am i missing somthing to set up SSo?

Could you please help me on the below issue ?
When we click on any link in MSS, users are getting blank page.
We as admins checking the personalisation data and removing them against that user under PCD -> Principle -> User name.
Then the issue is getting resolved.
1) Why only some users are getting those personalisations , not all ?
2) What is the background mechanisam of storing those personalisations in portal?
3) What is the permanant fix for these kind of issues where we need to delete the personalisitons setting then only the issue is resolved temporarily ?

"Before you make a decision, you can display the attachments and objects
which have been attached to the user decision. You can also create your own
attachments.
If you choose Cancel, the user decision remains in your inbox for
processing."
Can i remove it?

i'm trying to install the CRM Business Package for integration in my landscape (Portal-CRM).
Portal is installed on a NW 7.4 SR1 ASJ
CRM is 7.0 EHP1 (Abap only)
In the SAP Marketplace under My Company's Application Component/SAP CRM/SAP CRM ENHANCE PACKAGE/EHP1 FOR SAP CRM 7.0/Entry By Component I found CRM Portal Content containing version 7.01 of the components, and CRM PORTAL CONTENT NW7.3 containing the 7.31 version.
Which ones is the right for my landscape?

Hello all,
I am trying add a page to a role create from Content Administration. But are seen the error:
"Operation failed Contact your system administrator for assistance."
From the console (NWA --> Availability and Performance --> System Overview), are not seen errors.
How I can know to what should be the error, and the solution?

Hi Experts,
We are having an External Facing Portal. We had Made a change in Masthead and deployed it into the portal Successfully.
When we are previewing the Masthead Iview we are able to see the iview perfectly.When i click on Frameworkpage Preview it is also fine.
But when i try to see the portal from anonymous page Masthead is not getting loaded.
I have checked the Permission or authentication it is set to anonymous.
Can you suggest if restart is needed or any possible way it gets reflected.
Please suggest as this is Production Portal.....in Quality and Development the same par file is working fine and we are able to see from anonymous page.
