Dear Expert.

I am working on SAP Netweaver Portal 7.4(SP08).
Firstly, I have activated UI Theme Designer in NWA(Determine what will be the theme runtime provider -> LESS).
But when I launch the UI Theme designer, ends up with a blank screen.

The screen does not display anything in the browser(Internet Explorer11 or 10 and Chrome).
I could not see the UI Theme Designer screen.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find out any related notes.
What can we do about this problems?

Hi,

There is a custom(Z) SAP transaction was integrated in portal 7.31 for uploading the price details. But when we are trying to upload the file by choosing the file from hard drive path, it's throwing exception like " Empty input file or input file is not found". Where as the same transaction/functionality is working fine when we tried to execute directly from SAP R/3.

Kindly, Can you help us what might be the issue and how to minimize it.

Dear experts,

I am trying to change the links of the KM Bookmark's links of the portal users.

Those bookmaks are stored in the BIUSERHOME of every user in the portal.

I you apply note 1454612 you can use the KM report to change the path of the KM bookmarks, but it doesn't let you change the path directly.

Do you know if there is a way to change the link value directly?

I have implemented SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3 EhP1. After installing I am trying to access SAP NetWeaver Administrator through URL :

but getting below mention message :::

I have referred the mention SAP Note 1451753, but no getting clearly where exactly icm_filter_rules.txt to be placed in the root access of the Portal 7.31 server.

Also no idea where actually the DEFAULT.PFL is located and how to make the required entries as mentioned.

1) add entry in default profile : icm/HTTP/mod_0 = PREFIX=/,FILE=$(DIR_GLOBAL)/security/data/icm_filter_rules.txt

2) add entry in icm_filter_rules.txt : if % !regimatch ...

We are having issues in changing the logo in the masthead of the portal since most of the documentation/blogs are using the Theme Editor.

The Theme Editor in our portal does not have a theme on the dropdown. We are not sure what caused this issue. Please see screenshot of the Theme dropdown in our editor.

I've just installed DS 4.2 following the SAP best practice approach of splitting it from the BI platform and using IPS.

I have a number of jobs that where previously triggered by Events using the BOE scheduler but IPS for DS does not have the Event Service so I'm no longer able to do this.

Is anyone aware of any plans to include the Event Service in IPS for DS?

I know that I can use WebServices, File Wait and TP Schedulers but I found Events a very quick approach to implementing a schedule. Furthermore, I had functionailty that now I don't so I'm having to rework jobs.

we are using the ActivityData Colletor in our system, we collect the adc files and load it into BW system to generate Portal usagestatistics.

The ActivityDataCollector record the call to iviews and pages, we have a page that have a link to an external web, we want to measure the users that use this link but the ActivityData Colletor don't registerclickon thislink.

we are thinking to develop some code to call ActivityDataCollertor ourselves,

somebody know if it is possible to call the Activity Data collector by hand? 

We can see that there is com.sap.portal.activitydatacollector_api.jar but there is not information about how to use this.

We have a custom logon page that is more than just a replacement of the image and modifying of logon screen text.  The problem is the former developer of it didn't leave in the much of the way of documentation.

Is there a clean way of migrating this page, by exporting the necessary files out of portal A, and importing/copying them to portal B?  We don't need to do any further modifications to the content, but just simply move it over to a different portal.  Our version is NW 7.31 SP9.

Hi Experts,

When the User clicks on Personalize then the User profile opens in a new window where user can make the changes.

But I need to open it in the same window i.e, when user clicks on personalize option then it opens in same portal window in same session rather than a getting openend in new window.

I tried to make the LaunchIn New window to Open in Content area for the page but still it is opening in new window.

Is it acheivable?

We are using the appraisal document iview which links to a abap web dynpro program in the backend. We have set the iview property to launch in new window 'display in separate headerless portal window'. In some cases this is working in that it centralises the pop up window. For other users it appears in the bottom right of the screen.

We are using EP 7.02, IE 9 in a citrix environment.

Is there anything I can do to get the window to appear in the centre of screen all the time ?

we are running a NW7.40 SP7 portal and try to integrate the new Fiori applications that belong to the Business Suite but are unsuccessful. I'm not a Fiori expert but something has changed in the architecture. Launching Fiori apps directly from the SICF nodes is no longer possible; the new ABAP based Fiori Launchpad is required (sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ushell/shells/abap/FioriLaunchpad.html?). And as a result, the URL has changed to /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ushell/shells/abap/FioriLaunchpad.html?sap-client=300#LeaveRequest-createLeaveRequest for instance and now the standard method of integration (creating a SAP UI5 iview) no longer works. The ivews just return an empty page, in every browser.

Launching any other ABAP UI5 application via an iview works fine, so I'm wondering what could be the reason.

I've tried to enable the same experience using the new portal Fiori Framework Page (FFP) but in the end that results in the same problem as it requires a working iview for each Fiori application.

Any ideas?
