Windows security pop up for EP 7.3 external URL

Hi,

 

Our Portal 7.3 is published to the external world as: https://abc.xyz.com/irj/portal

 

When we try to access this link on the internet, we see the attached Windows Security pop up.

If we select Cancel, it takes us to the Portal login screen...

We wish to eradicate this pop up...

 

I know there are several client side settings (IE settings etc.) which'll help get rid of the pop up.

However, we require a server side solution...

 

We've been looking at: https://scn.sap.com/thread/3181073; however, this does not seem to quite apply for the standard irj/portal scenario...

 

Pleaseeee can anyone advise if there's a way to get past this pop up...

(We have F5 which directs requests to the SAP web dispatcher).

Required BP for ESS & MSS configurations

Hi Experts,

 

  Can any one tell me the what are  the required Business packages for configuring the ESS and MSS in EP 7.4 and ECC 6?

 

I have found this doc in scn ESS and MSS configuration in SAP Portal 7.3 , here they are using WD ABAP, But my requirement is to use the Webdynpro Java.

 

Can anyone help on this....?

Order of Administrative Tabs in SAP Portal

I am trying to figure out how to change the sequence of the tabs at the top of the screen in the SAP Netweaver Portal.

 

I am able to do it just fine for particular customers that I have set up, by changing the Sort Priority of specific Roles.

 

However, I cannot do it for any of the tabs that are Admin-related (like Guided Procedures, Content Management, Content Administration, User Administration, System Administration, etc.)

 

Can anybody direct me to the location on the Portal where I can change the settings for these to move them in their Sort Priority?

Addition Technical System to SLD via Wizard: "wrong" CIM_ERR_ALREADY_EXISTS

When I try to add the technical systems through Wizard add ABAP system (Home -> Technical Systems -> New Technical System), the process raises no objections. However, after I define Installed Products and clicks Finish, an error shown in the illustration .

At the same time until you press Finish technical system in SLD was not! That is, the addition of the system was new.
After this error, I saw a list of technical systems. Lo and behold ! Despite the error system appeared in the list. However, there was some reason not all ( see picture ) have been made to the database definition .

I tried to remove the system and make zapisl again : In the end, there was a similar , though slightly different from the old error ( see picture )

Fifth movie in line that I watched from SAP Playlists (Previous ones on HANA Portal edition )

 

Watched the mobile edition movie. Gives a very good insight as to what the mobile edition from SAP does and how it can offer return on investment to the customers.

The movie starts with a quick overview of the mobile portal and then highlights the need and the rationale behind launching such a product. It provides due pointers as to how the SAP NetWeaver portal does the integration with the mobile and how it can boost the productivity, thereby, reducing costs.

 

The aggregation of RSS feeds, news, documents, pre-defined apps in one view and the ability to launch web and other applications from the mobile launcher shows the user friendliness the product can offer. Due snapshots have also been shared in the movie as to show how the whole stuff will look like.

 

 

Overall an informative watch !!!

Logon ticket error in ep 7.31 after upgrade

we have upgraded portal from 7.0 to 7.32.

Also HCM package is updated to EHP6.

After upgrade, we are getting portal runtime error for all iviews.

NWA log says: com.sapportals.portal.appintegrator.ApplicationIntegratorException: com.sap.security.api.umap.NoLogonDataAvailableException: No logon ticket available.

 

at com.sapportals.portal.appintegrator.accessor.ume.UMEAccessor.getTicket(UMEAccessor.java:99)
...

 

What can be the reason for this error?

Portal rendering issue in detailed navigation

Hi Experts!

We have an error with our portal.


The problem is that - sometimes - when the user logins the detailed navigation is not rendered correct. The color in the middle of the detaild navigaiton is rendered white - instead of the normal blue. But because the text in the detailed navigation is also white - it makes it almost impossible to read.

 

Our portal is 7.01 SP6, and the browser is IE8.
We use the Ajax Framework, and the theme is only slightly customized.

However the detailed navigation is the default "blue-bar" in the left side.

 

I have attached an example from our mss role:

Migration of SAP provided HTMLB Based PAR files for 7.3 EhP1

Hi All,

 

This question related on how to migrate SAP provided HTMLB based PAR files or if there is any alternative option available in higher version of Portal.

 

We are migrating from 7.02 to 7.31 SP9 version. Client in past used the iViews which were based on the following PARs:

com.sap.pct.hcm.essmssviewer

com.sap.pct.hcm.rpt_reportselection

com.sap.pct.hcm.zrpt_reportselection


I migrated the files using PAR Migration Tool & when I tried running these applications. It gave me some more issues and is missing few more PARs like

com.sap.pct.hcm.orgmanagementeventing

com.sap.pct.hcm.hcm_util

com.sap.pct.hcm.objectanddataprovider and few more...


So, what is the procedure for migrating these HTMLB based iViews in 7.31 portals. Is there any equivalent iViews which are available in portal.

We are also having an ECC upgrade to EHP6. Does SAP provide any equivalent iViews.


Also, I noticed there are some iViews (MSS based) which are available under Migrated Content under Portal Content, which are also based on HTMLB iViews, so how do we migrate them?


Please share your experience & let me know how do I resolve that.

Hi Experts,

 

we are useing portal 7.3. i want to modify logon page. we have tc~sec~ume~logon~ui.war file and we have to import into nwds to modify this file.

 

but in Nwds 7.0 there is no web option to import this file.

 

Please tell me how to import and change the logon page in portal 7.3 version with nwds 7.0.

com.customer.afp.fromscratch modify ajax fwk l-shape api

Hello.

 

Following the how-to guide Apply Custom Branding Using the Ajax Framework L-Shape APIs I am having an issue.  Using the provided com.customer.afp.fromscratch, I was able to import into NWDS 7.3.  I have modified the images for the tiles and rebuilt probject with creation   Deployment was successful to portal 7.3.  Testing in portal was successful.

 

Further modification was attempted in the assignment of the mime image located in the provided fwk.js file.  Any modification to this file is ignored including simple change to "welcome" message.

 

The only observation that I can make is that the fwk.js code is not being called but this would seem very odd to me.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

IE Favorites and Custom AFP Framework lead to wrong WindowID

Hy all,

 

we have developed a custom framework based on the Ajax Framework Page.

 

When a user adds this page to the favorites using the IE-Favorite Button...

and shows the page, the following Message appears.

The Error is due to the following request:

I have installed web dispatcher in standalone system.

i am trying to connect my QAS system witch contain APP server.

could you please let me know how to maintain the profile parameter for this.

Issuer of SSO-Ticket not authorized

Dear all,

 

I get the message above in my developer traces after testing a system connection via connectors (JCO). I've exported the certificate from my TicketKeystore. The one with -cert at the end and imported it to ABAP backend in strustsso2 and added to acl. I've tried it with to backend systems and I will get the same error. What can be the reason?

Registering source systems for UWL

Dear all,

 

I want to connect our HCM system to portals UWL. I'm the portal administrator and have actually no permissions in the source system. Now I've created the system in the system landscape and the destination in the NWA. Now I want to register the portal at the back-end but what roles do I need? I only find these SAP_BC_BMT_WFM_UWL_ADMIN and SAP_BC_UWL_ADMIN_USER roles, but the 2nd one is really powerful and I'm shure that I won't get this role in the HCM system. What role/permissions are needed in the backend?

 

Additionally: What is the role of the NWA destination?

Missing activity reporting framework component

Hello,

 

I have been trying to install some components for BI on my portal but in order to do that I have to install KM base components.

But when I try to do that I get this error at validation in JSPM:

 

Details message(s): Archive /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in/KMCBC04P_20-10008093.SCA for component sap.com/KMC-BC was admitted for deployment Detailed message: 1. Unresolved dependency problem in chain of dependent item 'sap.com_com.sap.netweaver.bc.rf.service'. Deployment of archive /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in/KMCBC04P_20-10008093.SCA --> com.sap.netweaver.bc.rf.service.sda for component sap.com/com.sap.netweaver.bc.rf.service is rejected because it does not pass the validation check. Detailed message: 1. Unresolved dependencies: sap.com/com.sap.portal.activityreportingframework not found in the admitted batch items and the repository

 

I cannot find any useful info on where to get this com.sap.portal.activityreportingframework or in which component it should be.

 

I am using SAP Netweaver portal v. 7.3 SP4 trial edition.

 

Can anyone help?

WPC - Deleted area still appear in navigation structure and is visible for end users

Hi Experts

 

We have a WPC navigation structure like this

 

 

Area

     Subarea1

          Page

          Page

     Subarea2

          Page

          Page

....

 

We delete the "subarea2" and appears how delted, after that  we republish  the "Area" but is still visible to end users even after an instance restart

We also erase the area from staging area - (Content Management)

Do you have  idea if we need make another step for totally delete the área and the end users dont see it.

PDF not opening in IE* from SAP portal 7.0 sp19

Hi,

Having an issue to view PDF from portal application through IE8, IE9 IE10 and IE11.

 

Our current portal version is 7.0 and SP19.

 

When i try to view PDF it will display the blank page and never show up as PDF display.

 

 

It is a smart form converted to PDF version and we are viewing in portal. SAP version ECC 6.0

 

Please advice on the same

Where are the uploaded files get stored ?

Hi SCNers,

 

I have a query related to Portal Content Administration in NW 7.3 Java stack.

If I had uploaded some files in the Documents folder by creating a new folder xxxx.

Now where these files get stored ? In file system or in database ?

 

System details:

NW 7.3 

Windows server 2008 R2

Oracle 11.2.0.2.

How to limit user sessions for portal user?

Hi experts,

 

I am going through the blogs and found different answers for ' limiting the user session for portal user'. Few members say its impossible. Few members say it can be done with code. May I request you please send me code or any parameter we can set in Visual administrator.

 

Basically I want to close the previous browser session if user navigates away from one browser and logs from another tab or browser.
